Ingredients :

For the white paste:

4 egg whites
160 g sugar
80 g milk
75 g oil
120 g flour
1/2 tsp. to c. baking powder
1 C. vanilla flavouring

For the yellow dough:

4 egg yolks
80 g sugar
80 g milk
75 g oil
90 g flour
1 C. to c. baking powder
1 C. to c. vanilla flavouring

As well :

40g cocoa powder
Savarin mold, diameter: 22 x 10 cm

How to prepare A cake with a cocoa powder pattern

1. Separate the eggs and put the egg whites and yolks in separate bowls.

2. Add 160 g of sugar to the egg whites and 80 g of sugar to the egg yolks. Beat the ingredients in the two salad bowls with an electric mixer until they are firm.

3. Now add oil, vanilla flavouring, milk and baking powder in the amounts indicated for the two doughs. Sift the flour into the salad bowls and mix everything again with an electric mixer.

4. Preheat the oven to 180 ° C, fan-assisted. Now start pouring the dough into the savarin mould. Start with about half of the yellow dough. Then sprinkle the powdered cocoa mass using a small sieve.

5. Pour half of the white paste into the mould and sprinkle with the cocoa powder. Pour the rest of the yellow dough into the mould, sift the cocoa on top and then pour the rest of the light dough on top. Bake for 40 minutes.

If you want to add more colour to your life, use food colouring. A simple cake, but still a pleasure for the eyes and the taste buds.
