Prepare the donut paste.


  • Two and a half cups of sifted white flour
  • Three tablespoons of sugar
  • 40 grams of butter
  • Three-quarters cup of warm liquid milk (milk should not be too hot or cold for the yeast to work correctly)
  • A teaspoon of yeast
  • Tablespoon of vanilla.
  • A small sprinkle of salt. One egg and 2 yellow eggs. 
  • Vegetable oil for frying donuts

How to prepare:

 Put all the previous ingredients in a deep bowl (flour, sugar, butter, warm milk, yeast, vanilla, salt, egg) and mix well and knead for a full ten minutes until a firm dough is obtained. 

Leave the mixture to rest for an hour in a warm place. Spread the batter on a clean surface and sprinkled with flour so that the dough does not stick, and until the desired thickness is reached. 

Cut the donuts with a large slicer in a circular shape, and use a small slicer to make a small hole in the center of the dough. 

Place the doughnuts on a flour sprinkled tray, and leave to rest for half an hour (this is important for the donuts to work). Donuts are placed in batches in hot oil and stirred until golden in color. 

Donuts can be placed in a tray painted with a little vegetable oil, and entered into the oven at medium temperature, occasionally stirring until it becomes golden

Donut decorating ideas

 Decorate the donuts with fat chocolate such as Nutella and nuts.
 Sprinkle a little sugar mixed with cinnamon. Small white chocolate can be melted and dyed in several colors.

 Two cups of water. Two cups of sugar. Ten tablespoons of unsweetened cocoa powder.

 How to prepare:

 Place all ingredients in a saucepan, simmer until boiling, and keep stirring. Place the donut pieces in the cocoa sauce, leave a little until the sauce soaks, then serve with a bit of coconut.
